As a registered dietitian specializing in gluten-free diets, I am always on the lookout for the very best products for my clients. Good food makes us happy and bread may be the most important food on the planet. By the time people get to me, they have already experimented with all the other options and have given up on enjoying bread. I am so happy to have Sami’s Millet & Flax Bread to share with them and see their delight in rediscovering good bread. And then I bring on the chips and bread sticks and it’s as if I’ve opened up the doors to heaven! Thank you for your dedication to baking excellence.

I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and it was suggested I change to a low carb diet. I discovered Sami’s low carb bread at my local health food store in Bonita Springs, FL. I kept a few product varieties in my freezer and would call and order when I ran low. Unfortunately, the health food store closed. I took a chance and looked on the website and was thrilled to discover I could order online and have the products delivered directly to me. Ordering through the website allowed me to see all the delicious options available for a low carb lifestyle. I recently relocated from Florida to Idaho and continue to order from Sami’s Bakery. The service is excellent, the products are received quickly and I enjoy it every day! I actually feel like I am “cheating” as the products are so delicious.

Well I’m not sure how eloquent and heartfelt my writing is. My sister and I, now 67 and 70 years old, have had some health struggles in the past 10 years. I found Sami’s baked goods at a health food store near me a few years ago. Keeping off of sugar was required for the medication I was taking and suddenly I had this wonderful array of sugar-free and low-carb baked goods. I finished my course of medications, but found that my diet was so enjoyable and manageable with Sami’s that I stayed off sugar and weigh less now than I did in high school. This has meant a huge boost of health for me in being able to move and walk easily. Shortly after I found Sami’s, my sister found that her profound asthma was partially linked to gluten intolerance. So adding her to my Sami’s account was a breeze since I was already familiar with the products. I doubt that’s the most moving story you’ll hear, but it sure has made a difference for us. Hope that encourages you!

15 years ago, I became very ill. I was put through a ton of test for months before I received a diagnosis. The basic cure was to cut as much gluten from my diet as possible. I met with a dietician who set up a menu for me. I had a very hard time with the menu and lost a lot of weight, weight I couldn’t afford to lose, losing so much the months before my diagnosis. I fell into a deep depression thinking of all the foods I loved and could not eat anymore. Bread was the hardest. One day I wondered into a health food store and started talking to the clerk about my issues and missing bread. She introduced me to Sami’s gluten free bread. I had tried a lot of gluten free breads before that day and hated every one of them. I reluctantly tried a loaf and fell in love with Sami’s, I went online and ordered about every gluten free product you carry. Everything was delicious. This opened up my limited menu and soon I was able to put on weight. Many years later I am happy and healthy. I enjoy at least one Sami’s products every day. They never get old. Thank you, Sami’s,

Growing up as a kid I had many weird physical problems that were diagnosed as anxiety. It wasn’t until I took a nutrition class in college that I learned of celiac and gluten intolerance. I omitted it from my diet and my “anxiety” symptoms miraculously disappeared. That was 20 years ago and way before the gluten-free craze began and it was extremely hard to find anything that could replace it. Until Sami’s. It was gluten-free, healthy, tasty, AND budget-friendly. It’s been a staple in my life since then (I order it in bulk every few months and freeze it), and I am SO appreciative that they offered these options back when there were no options. And they’re still the best, hands down. Truly grateful for you Sami’s! Sincerely,

Hello! So my Sami’s story starts probably around 2019. I had a baby boy in 2017 and with that pregnancy, I got up to 205lbs. I thought that I would lose weight with breastfeeding, but it just didn’t happen for me. I tried doing weight watchers, but it didn’t work either. My grandfather and uncle were on keto due to being diabetic, so I figured I’d give it a shot. While shopping in Chamberlain’s Grocery Store, in Florida, I came across Sami’s bakery items. I tried the bread and I was instantly hooked! I have always been a bread person, and I was literally about to give up on keto, because I was sick of eating egg bread! Sami’s Bakery has helped me be able to stick to a Low-Carb lifestyle since 2019! I have lost 70lbs and I have maintained my weight loss. During the pandemic, I began ordering my bread directly from Sami’s and freezing it. I have even moved to South Carolina and I still order bread and bagels frequently. I eat Sami’s EVERY SINGLE DAY! I owe my weight loss success to y’all and hopefully I can spread the word! I am now confident in my skin and no longer depressed from being overweight! None of this would have been possible without Sami’s delicious Low-Carb products! Thank y’all!

My story relates to Sami’s Bakery! In December a couple of years ago, I had made an order that was scheduled to arrive a little late (for me) since I had surgery scheduled for that day (Friday Dec 19 ’20). I called Sami’s and asked if there was any way to delay the shipment a few days. Instead Sami’s expedited it at no charge to me and it arrived on that Thursday. Not only that, you included an extra order of chocolate chip cookies and a very cute drawing with “feel better soon! written next to it. That was amazingly thoughtful and kind, and it put me in a very good state of mind for my surgery, which was successful!

Our family of 8 became gluten free after food testing and I was searching for bread replacements. Trying to feed 5 hungry boys 6-23yrs and a toddler girl on a gluten free diet was incredibly challenging. I scoured all the stores and Instagram accounts looking for the best bread options I could find that didn’t taste like cardboard. It took a year of purchasing and sampling countless gluten free bakeries trying to find anything palatable. I found Sami’s and all of the children tried the millet pitas, and loved them! What a life saver! We are never without them in our household. My adult son is going to college and asked me to ship them to WY so he can make his favorite panini style pita sandwich! Being gluten free is incredibly difficult, but I’m very thankful for Sami’s bakery for having the option to ship out of state for everyday moms like me trying to feed her children healthy food. Sami’s bakery has been a wonderful find for my family.

Due to cardiovascular health issues, my husband and I, near 60 years old, drastically changed our 35-year old diet habits. Reducing sugar drastically without substituting artificial sweeteners was definitely our most difficult challenge. We also reduced high carb/low fiber foods greatly. We are naturally slim and had never before experienced a restrictive diets’s mental challenges, but we were determined to eat only healthy beneficial foods. Finding tasty satisfying food that met these requirements was unbelievably hard. Friends and family started trying to help us, but the suggested foods usually contained well hidden sugar. Amy

My story started when I found out in the late 1990’s that I was allergic to yeast, sugar and fermented foods. I thought I would never be able to eat bread again. But I found Sami’s Bakery Bread in a little store in Mauldin, SC called the Red Radish I believe. I tried it and have been a faithful client ever since. I especially like the sour dough millet bread. When the store closed in 2007 I continued to purchase Sami’s products online. Last year I decided to move to Tampa to be with my family. Guess what? Your bakery is just 3 miles from my house!

I was so thankful my friend shared this website to your amazing bread with me. Eating bread from a large box store just didn’t sit right in our belly’s. Purchasing from you not only allows our tummies and body to digest better and enjoy bread again, we also feel so thankful to support a small business as well. We live in Illinois and we look forward to our order every time. I haven’t bought much bread other than your and some thankful for your shipping! Sourdough and pumpkin bread is our absolute favorite and of course all your millet flour products as well. Keep that quality as you have it. There’s no one like you around. God bless your hands and heart!

Prior to Covid I had enjoyed many global travel adventures. Then, like most others, there was utter shock as the nation locked down, movie theaters and restaurants closed and we sheltered in place. Any and all thoughts of planning new travel adventures were DOA. Dreaded months with no vaccine in sight brought fear and the specter of loss all around us. May or even most were touched by loss. In early 2022 I was diagnosed with diabetes 2 and put on a low carb regimen. My love of carb laden bread, cookies cakes and the like made this all the more difficult. Enter my local health food shop! Peering down one aisle I caught sight of a colorful display of of Sami’s Millet & Flax chips. Their nutritional labels passed muster in every category. The low Plain chips had zero sugar, zero saturated fat and low carbs while other flavors I tried were close albeit a bit of sugar in some. I preferred the plain chips with zero sugar. When my local health food shop stopped carrying your chips I easily ordered them, sometimes a dozen or more bags per order. Finally, in the Spring of 2022 there was light at the end of the Covid tunnel. My ming body and soul need to get away, to bask in sunshine and breath fresh air. Living in the SF Bay Area gave me one sure way to go. In a flash I booked a ten days cruise from SF to Alaska inside passage. As an experienced cruiser I knew well the ‘perils’ of high carb temptations from breakfast bagels, to pizza snacks and a menu list of delectable desserts! What to do? What to do? My master plan was ultra successful. I packed I packed four packages of our Millet & Flax Plain chips and contemplated this wonderful cruise as the ships set sail. Breakfasts on cruise ships are a delight. I headed straight for the omelette chef for my egg whites mixed with healthy veggies. Next, was cream cheese and smoked salmon lathered atop You guessed it, my Millet & Flax chips. I was in cruise ship breakfast heaven. Lunches offered many protein/veggie choices so no need for the chips. BUT, I did snag a zip lock full of cheese slices. I added chips to the bag and enjoyed great chips and cheese snacks at pools side.. Dinners were awesome! Chips with butter instead of bread worked super well. When I was served my favorite french onion soup sans bread I added crushed chips so totally yummy! My substitute for the menus tempting desserts was nightly red sugar free Jello with real whipped cream. My back up was their nightly cheese platter together with your chips. Sami’s chips came through big time allowing me to ‘keep legal’ while enjoying the ships sensational meals!

I discovered Samis Bakery over 15yrs ago. I was immediately hooked on the flax and millet tortillas and liked them so much that I started buying them online regularly. MY whole family loved them and I would have to tell them where I got them because they thought they were the best. They truly taste amazing! I also discovered the flax cinnamon chips and started buying them every Christmas for my clients who absolutely love them. They actually look forward to them!! I am a fitness trainer and I always look for natural foods that I can share with my clients. Samis Bakery is definitely one I am very proud and love to tell others, because the food always tastes so good. I don’t think I have ever bought an item I have not liked.

About 10 years ago I had to be gluten free. I was upset because I couldn’t find a breakfast bread that tasted good. Then I found Sami’s millet and flax bagels. They were delicious. Next I tried the millet and flax sourdough bread. I fell in love with the bread and then the dinner rolls. Even my husband who isn’t gluten free loves these products. I enjoy eating again.

Seven years ago, I was shopping as a tourist at Provisions market in Sag Harbor, NY. I came across a basket with your flax and millet lavash inside and was intrigued. Don’t ask me why, perhaps it was the simplicity, your humble vibes and the integrity of your ingredients that I purchased 1-package. I played with them in a cast iron pan, a warm oven and room temperature and since that purchase I have been a devotee of your brick oven lavash. One year after I discovered Sami’s lavash my husband suddenly passed away. In the weeks that followed my home was filled with friends, neighbors, families and colleagues and Sami’s lavash was introduced and served to all. Your lavash sustained all of us through these difficult times. These many years later, I continue to adore and devour Sami’s lavash in so many different ways, each and every day. It nourishes my soul and my body and puts a smile on my face. Thank you Sami’s! With love,

Sami’s Bakery is a God Send. All of my life I have had health problems. I didn’t discover until I was 38 years old that I had a wheat sensitivity. Wheat was the cause of a lot of my health issues. I was told food is medicine. So after trying many substitutes to wheat, by the Grace of God I found Sami’s. Bread is life. And Sami’s has made my life a whole lot better and healthier. I only eat the Millet and Millet and Flax products and they are delicious. So much so that for Thanksgiving dinner we always make stuffing( which is my favorite dish ) from the Millet and Flax Bread. My family loves it. Pizza is another delicious food that I can enjoy now. We use the pizza crusts or we make pizza breads using the sub rolls. If you can’t engage in any wheat products and along comes a product that is excellent for your health and is delicious, it is one of the true blessings of life. No longer am I on the outside looking in. But I am a part of the party now. Thank you Sami’s for giving my family this great gift of life, bread.

Hello my Sami’s bakery friends I’ve been getting Sami’s bread for about 10 years and it has been such a godsend. I’m gluten intolerant and I can’t have yeast either, so Sami’s bread has been perfect for me. I first discovered it in a health food store on the mainland when I was living on an island off the coast of Maine. The owner showed me how I could order it myself and I have been getting it ever since. One of my favorite things to make is Turkey stuffing during the holidays. None of my family knows I used your bread because I’ve mastered making it taste the same. Thank you for providing a wonderful product so I can enjoy tasty bread without getting sick.

We discovered Sami’s in 2018 and found they were an amazing addition to our low-carb lifestyle! When our world and everyone else’s changed in March of 2019, we began the challenge of cooking all meals at home. It was a challenge all of us faced. With the ability to order online and using Sami’s shipping of items we were able to continue our low-carb lifestyle and were pushed to become even more creative with our Sami’s products. For example, we began making bread crumbs to use in recipes by toasting and grating low carb sliced bread, we made small individual pizzas using low carb lavash and of course continued to enjoy our favorite products – bagels and crackers! Sami’s enabled us to come through that difficult time having had wonderful meals without changing our eating habits. While our story is not a life changing one – it is a grateful one to Sami’s for these outstanding products. Thanks so much! Jo and Jack Thank you, Sami’s,

Hello, Sami’s! Here’s my story: In 2004 I experienced some health problems, and my holistic doctors suggested I drop yeast and wheat from my diet. Our local health food store, Sawall’s Health Foods, introduced me to your wonderful products. I delighted in their delicious taste and the time and ease they afforded a busy working wife and mother. In 2015 we moved to Louisville, KY, and I was pleased to learn your products were sold here. But! Every time I went to the store to make a purchase, they were out. I went to different areas of the city and had the same problem. I called your bakery and learned that you ship your breads all over the country! Never dreamt I could have bread from Florida delivered to my front door. Here I am eight years later telling you how much I enjoy your delicious products. I pray for you folks every time a bad storm or hurricane is headed your way. Not just me, but the whole nation needs you! Thanks, Sami’s, for the great work you do for all of us. Oh, yes! You have the nicest people answer your phones, so I’m sure your bakers and all your employees must be the nicest, best people ever. Thanks so much!
